Alicia Ferguson
Regional Queensland Football Club Ltd is thrilled to announce that Alicia Ferguson – former Matilda, Brisbane Roar and A-League Women’s champion, and one of the sharpest minds in Australian football will be your coach for the Mackay coaching clinics.
Alicia’s football journey is nothing short of legendary. She made her debut for the Matildas at just 15 years old during a European tour in 1997 and went on to represent Australia 66 times, including at the 1999 and 2007 FIFA Women’s World Cups and the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games.
Alicia knows what it takes to reach the top. Now based in Newcastle, she is shaping the future of the game as Head Coach of the ParaMatildas, U16 Northern NSW Head Coach for the Emerging Matildas Championships and Technical Coach at the Newcastle Elite Football Academy.
This is a fantastic opportunity for our young female footballers throughout Regional Queensland to be seen and coached by one of the game’s very best.
